At the heart of mountain biking terrain

With its 1,220 meters of altitude difference, the resort of Auron is the largest mountain biking area in the department. 50 km of slopes to try in a large natural setting. The mountain biking area is served by 4 lifts including a detachable chairlift for safety and optimum comfort. Experts or beginners, adrenaline junkies or just naturally curious, the 17 trails have something for riders of every level.

Great fun, exciting descents and superb panoramas

Experienced snowboarders can enjoy free entrance to a snow park. The resort also has areas for cross-country skiing. For snowshoe enthusiasts, the Puy area is a dream with perfectly quiet, wooded trails. When it comes to entertainment, the family park in Auron has a fun course for children and adults, whether they’re skiing or snowboarding. The resort’s snow front offers beginners wide green piste which is close to the resort’s restaurants. Beginner skiers aged 3 and up can enjoy their first time sliding on the snow in the ‘snow garden’ while younger ones, from 6 months to 3 years old, are welcome all year round at the Oursons nursery. Whether you’re with your family, an experienced skier or an enthusiastic beginner, Auron is the ideal resort for a sunny ski break.

Activities for everyone …

On the Chastellarès plateau, the Auron golf course includes a large driving range (20 places including 8 covered), an approach area and a putting green. Free introductory and refresher courses with real “green” professionals are available. A wide range of activities are available for all ages that start from the resort or the village: climbing outdoors or on an artificial wall, tennis, archery, dancing or even aquagym in the heated outdoor swimming pool …

… from the youngest to the eldest

You’ll soon see it’s impossible to be bored in Auron and Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée this summer. Budding explorers will love the “Randoland” circuits, pony rides and the adventure trail especially for them in Auron’s central square. They will also enjoy the activities at the Trinitaires water park / leisure centre in Saint Etienne de Tinée (open in July and August) and the enchanting Bois des Lutines next door.

The village of Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée

Just 7 km from the resort of Auron, Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée is an authentic mountain village and a lovely place to stay. You can admire its 12th and 17th century religious buildings and their classified frescoes before leaving for invigorating walks and treks (lifts available to walkers). And why not indulge in a spot of fishing in the mountain lakes, or admire the fauna and flora of this beautiful area from the Pinatelle cable car?
