Isola 2000, a resort for huge thrills

It’s the highest ski resort in Alpes-Maritimes, with an altitude at 2000m at resort level, rising to 2610m at the resort’s summit. Its high-capacity artificial snowmaking system offers skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to enjoy quality pistes from December until April. With its high-performance ski lifts, a snow park for all levels and activities on its snow front and in its shopping arcade, Isola 2000 is the most well-known resort in the Alpes-Maritimes, having enjoyed an international reputation since 1971.

New experiences in the snow for experts and beginners

Isola 2000 has 120km of pistes which span three areas. The resort has a snow park of more than 23,000 m² for expert snowboarders, accessible via a 4-seater chairlift. Named “Tony’s Snowland” in tribute to the Isola native Tony Ramoin, a bronze medallist at the Vancouver Olympic Games, the park is made up of a bio park, a boardercross and a slopestyle. The uninitiated can also enjoy a new snow park by the Boulevard piste.

Altitude and celebrations

A real first for thrill seekers: Isola 2000 has a protruding walkway at the summit of Sistron which provides a panoramic view of a landscape like no other, with the mountains of Mercantour and Nice’s seashore. In the heart of the resort, the snow front hosts a range of events, day and night. Night skiing, torchlight descents, sports shows and plenty more events besides. Isola 2000 has a ski-in, ski-out concept which offers visitors direct access to shops and services with its shopping arcade. Those who love traditional architecture will be pleased to know that Isola 2000 has a little sister, Isola village. Located at the foot of the ski resort, at 875m above sea level, this village is known for its narrow lanes – so emblematic of typical mountain villages.

Isola village

Crossed by the Tinée river, Isola village has plenty of traditional springs. The town is also filled with beautiful old houses and several religious monuments. With its well-preserved historical heritage, Isola village also attracts plenty of holidaymakers with its Aquavallée water park. Guaranteed relaxation after skiing.
